Accolades & Press
There are a lot of wonderful people out there to write about, so we're grateful for the local and national magazines that have focused their attention on us. The TV appearances are quite flattering too. (See below.)
But the most satisfying accolades we get come from our customers. Here are just a couple:
“Monique has incredible vision for design...she creates the perfect atmosphere through thoughtful, progressive, and visually stimulating works of living art. Over the years of working together, she never ceases to amaze me!” — m. powell (client)
"Beautiful space full of living art and decor, you will be inspired and refreshed after visiting!" — a. beard (boutique customer)
"I love this place! What a secret treasure in South Austin. I can't wait to take more classes here." — b. biehl (boutique customer)
"The products are amazing and original. The customer service is stellar. And the classes are such a fun date night!" — p. ell (boutique customer)
KXAN's (NBC-Austin) Studio 512 invited Articulture artrepreneur to their studios for a live “make a mini living wall” demonstration with host Stephanie Gerry.
Real Simple Magazine provided some crafty ideas on how to reuse planters after plants die. And Ariculture artrepreneur Monique Capanelli was featured for two of them. (Though, we’re still not sure why “put another plant in it” wasn’t allowed as an option.)
We love this description of the Articulture boutique: “it’s soothing—a zen-like temple to considered composition. Every hexagonal wall planter, painted pod mural and Buddha head is thoughtfully placed, by an expert eye.” We love it so much, we don’t even care that our artrepreneur fonder’s name is misspelled.
We were thrilled to be welcomed back to KLRU’s Central Texas Gardener, talking plant care when planting palettes are mixed varieties.
The We Are Austin crew invites Artiulture’s Monique Capanelli to talk plant art and living walls. Co-host Trevor Scott was super excited and friendly.
Austin's prize-winning daily newspaper asserts, "you'll be blown away by the Articulture boutique's living walls, interior botanical design, and even living furniture."
Thanks for the kind wods! "The mix of art and horticulture expertly blended by 'artrepreneur' Monique Capanelli quickly turns heads."
Studio 512 invites back artrepreneur Monique Capanelli to demonstrate some floral design basics and talk about the range of fun and informative classes held at Articulture Designs.
Thanks to the editors of Austin Monthly for including Articulture's series of hands-on classes in their what-to-do-in-Austin list. You can see why our guest reviews include "the coolest thing I've ever done in Austin," at one of our upcoming classes.
We're honored and thrilled to earn an Austin Chronicle Critic's Pick in shopping category. Says the experts: "Articulture has tons of accents to instantaneously and affordably upgrade your most humdrum rooms."
KXAN's Amanda Tatom invites Monique to demonstrate how to make a signature Articulture mini-living-wall. And thanks Amanda for the super kind words: "Articulture takes house plants to a whole new -- and very cool -- level."
Featured in the business section: "Southwest Austin firm works to transform plants into living walls, gifts, works of art."
"Garden Journeys" visited us at the Articulture gardens for a fun segment on making a modern succulent arrangement.
Gotta admit, I was a little starstruck with Tom Spencer. And quickly blushed with his comments, "...incredible interior plant designs that will blow you away." And when he called me an "avant gardener" I immediately thought, "t-shirt!"
"...every project, be it a floating garden, a large living wall, or a small succulent terrarium, exudes innovation and individuality, structure and substance — and a unique reverence for Mother Nature’s boundless beauty..."
"...vibrant moss walls and other large permanent installations breathe welcome green life into spaces for residential and commercial clients like Whole Foods Market and Shake Shack..."
"Bringing botanical decore to a new level...Articulture Designs is the foremost living wall designer in the city..."
One of our favorite Q&As! This interview explores the nuances of combining art and business, and turning creative visions into reality. "...No one tells you in school, 'Hey, you could actually go and do this crazy, weird, niche thing and be successful.' I had to make it up. You have to make up your life. Ask yourself what you want to do and find a way to do it..."
"....unlike many mainstream artists and modern designers, Capanelli follows no consistent, strict style—each of her meticulous pieces is rooted in its own identity and thoughtfully brought to life by the scrupulous designer..."
